Henley Hall is pleased to bring a residential ‘Yoga Retreat’ to Henley Hall - a structured programme combining yoga and teaching focussed on de-stressing, positive thinking and renewal - designed to improve the wellbeing of the individual.
Each session begins with a quiet period of stillness and centring to settle the body, breath and mind. The physical yoga practice follows, which incorporates a wide range of asanas (postures), including forward folds, back bends, side bends, twists, balances and some inversions, all designed to develop strength, flexibility and concentration. Poses are woven together in slow-flowing, mindful sequences, in which one pose flows effortlessly into the next. Students are also encouraged to explore different breathing techniques (pranayama) and to experiment with some concentration and meditation practices. A period of relaxation brings each class to a close, enabling students to leave the session feeling calm and refreshed.
We have postponed our retreats for Autumn 2020 but have dates proposed for 2021, subject to COVID regulations.
