The weekend retreat delivers an opportunity to switch off, away from the stresses and strains of everyday life, ready to return refreshed and re-energised, ready for the week ahead. The programmes are summarised below.

Friday:

Arrival between 14.00 - 15.00 ready for afternoon tea for everyone to meet and start to get to know one another

2-hour yoga session to stretch out after the journey followed by dinner

Gentle breathing and meditation practice prior to bed.

Saturday:

Energising 2-hour yoga class in the morning

Brunch followed by free time for relaxation, massages, local walks and a talk on nutrition

Gentle 2-hour yoga class late afternoon before dinner

Gentle breathing and meditation practice prior to bed.

Sunday:

Energising 2-hour yoga class 

Brunch followed by free time for relaxation, local walks and visiting Ludlow

Depart

Classes will take place indoors and outdoors, weather permitting

Nutritionally balanced meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner all included

THE MIDWEEK RETREAT

The midweek retreat is an opportunity to invest time in you.  The yoga classes focus on techniques to refresh and re-energise. Optional wellness workshops are available, focussed on personal resilience, to give a complete and holistic ‘refresh and reset’.

NUTRITION

Our residential chef is trained in serving wholesome and nutritionally balanced meals using local in-season produce.  

Delicious freshly prepared meals are served buffet style so people can select from a wide variety of whole foods with plenty of vegetables, salads and soups. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Fresh fruit, teas, coffees and cake are also available throughout the day, if you wish.  

The Retreat focuses on Health and Well-being and so this is not a detox or vegan retreat (unless you choose these options) but we will do our best to ensure all guests leave Henley Hall feeling healthier, relaxed and refreshed.  

We do our best to cater for all dietary preferences and ask you to notify us at time of booking if you have any special dietary requirements.

MEET Jules

 Jules offers classes in the Hatha Yoga style but, also incorporates elements from different styles and traditions of yoga to add variety.  These include Vinyasa Flow, Restorative, Scaravelli and Mindfulness.

All students are welcome into these friendly classes, whatever their ability and prior experience of yoga.  Jules believes that the practice should benefit each and every body and offer many options and modifications for each posture.  This allows all students to access the practice at a level that is comfortable and right for them.  These classes would be most appropriate for beginner and intermediate students.

Jules Burdett began practising yoga in 1990 when attending a class with a friend and has been hooked ever since. She has been teaching yoga for over 15 years as a qualified British Wheel of Yoga teacher and also holds a Sports Yoga accreditation.

She loves exploring the many and varied paths of yoga and is passionate about learning and delivering the very best yoga has to offer.
